" Japan's Slim Probe Successfully Lands on the Moon, Marking the Country's Fifth Lunar Landing" Japan's space agency, Jaxa, has verified the successful wharf of its inquiry named Slim on the moon, making Japan the fifth country in the world to achieve a lunar wharf, following the steps of the USA, the Soviet Union, China, and India.
Since the inquiry's wharf, Jaxa has reported the establishment of" communication," but there might be an issue with the power force.
The spacecraft has been en route since September 6 when it was launched with the Mitsubishi- developed H- IIA rocket from the Tanegashima Space Center.
As part of the same launch, the lunar lander Slim carried theX-ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission( Xrism), a collaboration between the Japanese and American space agencies( Jaxa and NASA), with support from the European Space Agency( ESA). Xrism aims to probe high- energy events in space usingX-ray technology.
The Japanese lunar lander, known as Slim( Smart Lander for probing Moon), or Moon gun in English, primarily aims to test a new wharf fashion that could enable unborn operations to land on the moon" where we want, rather than where it's easy to land," according to Jaxa.
The thing is to achieve a wharf within 100 measures of the intended wharf point. No human has set bottom on the moon since the USA's Apollo program from 1968 to 1972.
